Volunteer Forms and Orientations
We welcome and appreciate all volunteers as we could not meet the need without them. We at MAD understand with busy lives it can be difficult to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits are HUGE. Giving to others can help protect your mental and physical health. It can reduce stress, combat depression, keep you mentally stimulated and provide a sense of purpose. It has an INCREDIBLE impact on your community. You can make new friends, learn new skills, advance your career or just fill your heart with joy. Children watch and learn by example, you will show them first hand how volunteering makes a BIG difference in the lives of others as well as your own. Here at MAD there is always something to do and something for EVERYONE. We have volunteers from 4 to 80.
Tips for Getting Started
First ask yourself if there is something specific you would like to do.
Examples, Do I want...
...to improve the neighborhood where I live?
...to meet new people?
...to share something I am good at (teaching, cooking, sewing, etc)
